How the Protection Package Works
This option combines the trademark search and filing process into a single engagement.
After the search and strategy discussion, the Firm prepares and files the trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). If the USPTO raises issues during the initial examination, the package includes attorney preparation and submission of the first Office Action response.
USPTO government filing fees are separate and must be paid before the application is submitted.
This option is designed for clients who want the most protection and guidance during the trademark application process.

What does the Trademark Protection Package include?
With this option, the Firm will:

• Respond to the initial USPTO Office Action if one is issued
Does this option include filing my trademark?
Yes.
Unlike the search-first option, the Trademark Protection Package includes preparation and filing of the trademark application.
After the search and strategy discussion, the Firm proceeds with preparing and filing the application based on the agreed approach.
USPTO government filing fees are separate.
What happens if the USPTO raises issues with the application?
Many trademark applications receive an Office Action from the USPTO identifying issues that must be addressed before the application can move forward.
The Trademark Protection Package includes attorney preparation and submission of a response to the initial USPTO Office Action if one is issued.
Additional Office Actions or complex proceedings may require a separate agreement.
Does the protection package guarantee registration?
No.
No attorney can guarantee that a trademark will be approved for registration. The USPTO ultimately decides whether a mark qualifies for protection.
The purpose of the search, strategy discussion, and attorney support is to reduce risk and address issues if they arise.
What fees are covered?
This package covers attorney services for the trademark search, strategy review, preparation and filing of the trademark application, and response to the initial Office Action.
The attorney fee is $2,495.
USPTO government filing fees are separate and must be paid before submission.
